The Royal Wedding~ by Judi

I knew exactly what to write about today.  How could I write about anything but the Royal Wedding?  I have been reading Shannon Hale's series The Goose Girl.  It is set long ago in a kingdom and one of the main characters is the young queen.  It is very easy reading and so fun! It put me in the right mood for THE Royal Wedding of the century.

Did I wake up at 2 a.m. to watch?  Are you kidding.  I wish, but I knew I would be the wicked witch of the west if I did and so I am thanking (or rather my children are thanking) whoever invented DVR because it prevented an onery Judi and allowed me to see the wedding in all of its glory.

The most anticipated thing of the wedding? Kate's dress and it met anticipation.  I LOVED IT!  So pretty, so romantic, so delicate, so perfect.

Mike was not into the wedding (what kind of a man is he? sheesh!), but he did have a dream last night that we was able to break into the wedding and save me a seat and that he was extremely excited because he knew that I would love him forever for getting us into the wedding only to discover that I was walking down the aisle as one of the bridesmaids!  He said that I was mad because I didn't want to sit by him because I had been working for years (like on 27 dresses where she is the bridesmaid to everyone) in order to work my way up the list of bridesmaids to be the ULTIMATE bridesmaid to Kate.  What a great dream (secretly wish is was true).

If I had been there, you better believe I would have been adorning a hat such as this.

And a dress similar to this.

And LOVING EVERY SINGLE MOMENT!!!!!! I love weddings.  They are happy and always remind me of my own wedding which was possibly the best wedding ever.  I may be biased.  I do have to admit that I cringed a little and was sad that Kate and Will had to say, "Till death do you part" and was extremely grateful that my own marriage is sealed for eternity!

Why do you love weddings?  What was your favorite part about the Royal Wedding?

p.s.  I did give Mike credit for trying to sneak us into the wedding.  Very sweet.

Darling post and dream! Last night my 5 year old woke me up in the middle of the night needing help getting back to sleep. Usually I get very frustrated when I don't get a full night's sleep. But last night I was so excited that it happened to be just the right time to turn the TV on for a minute and see Kate driving to her wedding in that funky clear backed car and I did stay awake to watch part of the wedding ceremony! It was fun and I loved her dress!

We watched it all too! But delayed of course! Very interesting, and I kept trying to imagine what it would feel like to be Kate. I loved my wedding too, and if only for a day, I felt like a princess! Cute post, Judi!
