People Watcher...

Mike, William, and Thomas if front of our Hotel room #332

Have you ever stayed at a Hotel and been sitting there eating breakfast in the morning and seen some wild kid come running through the lobby?  Did you have the thought cross your mind, "hmmm...I bet that kid lives here?"  That kid was William.
William was a pro at living in a Hotel...he knew all about elevators

Our home of a Hotel

Living in a Hotel for an entire year was fun. Really fun. We miss it every day.  One "hobby" that I picked up on while living in the hotel was people watching.  It was interesting to see families headed to disneyland, college kids on spring break, and a few affairs happening (I swear this one couple was meeting every weekend at the hotel...very suspicious!) But the most interesting thing was to see how many people lived at the hotel.  I am not joking.  A TON of people lived there for a long period of time.  I just could not believe it. As I would watch these people and say hello in the hall, I kept thinking, "I know why I am living in a Hotel, but why in the world are YOU living in a hotel."  I wanted to know their life history, their story.  I love to study people.  I try to figure out who they are, what they believe, what hardships they have had, and where they are going.  This is a bad habit most of the time.  People often catch me looking at them.  I always try to look away really quick like I wasn't analyzing their entire existence!  But some of the time, this is a handy habit.  I know everybody has a different story, different experiences, and different challenges.  I hope that I can treat everybody with love and kindness because as I was just discussing with Mike (my husband) tonight, I know that EVERYBODY has a "sob" story and I know that our Father in Heaven loves everyone of his children...even those who live in hotels.  He knows our needs.  He is the ultimate people watcher.

So why did you live in a hotel for a year? I would love that... someone to make my bed every morning? I think so!

P.S. I am a friend of Millie's

Judi I have loved hearing the stories from your Hotel stay. It always made me wonder about the people too. We miss you guys. Las Vegas was way closer than Riverdale.

Noelle, Judi's husband had a temporary job with the FDIC in Las Vegas. I think there's more about it in her bio, check it out.

Judi, I always wanted to live somewhere that I could have a maid everyday, but a small hotel room probably would have made me crazy. You and Mike did a great job making the best of the situation. I am glad that you are back close to home though. Love, Mom
