All About Rindi

Hi! I’m Rindi. I’m sister number three. My husband, Greg, and I have been married for almost twelve years. We fell in love at BYU, which will always hold a special place in our hearts! We have four beautiful children—two girls and two boys. After many wonderful years back east, we now live under the bright sunshine of Southern Utah, and we love it here! I am so excited to work on this blog with my sisters for three reasons: 1. Sisters are awesome! With six of them, I’ve always had someone to talk to, laugh with, share my thoughts with, and occasionally cry with. I can’t wait to read what all of them have to say! 2. I really enjoy writing. My thoughts might not always make sense, but it sure feels good to put them down on paper. 3. I love ordinary life! I also love meeting new people and learning about other people’s lives. I think every life is fascinating in its own way. And, of course, I love to think about my own ordinary life and try to find humor or meaning in the simple things that make me happy.

I love this picture...it represents my most important juggling act!

The kiddos: Emma, Julia, Miles, & Austin
Here are a few tidbits about me: I am pretty tall (like most of my sisters), and I love sports—which is good since I married an ESPN fanatic! In the last few years, I have really developed a new passion for running. I’m getting ready for my second race with my sister, Stalee. It is so fun to run with my sisters and my mom. I LOVE memories…especially putting them into words to read over whenever I want to relive a happy moment. Along those lines, I enjoy scrapbooking and journaling very much. I think I was born in the wrong century—if I had an apple orchard, a white picket fence, a frilly apron to bake bread in, and a horse-drawn carriage, I would be soooo pleased. I love anything old-fashioned. I have an awesome husband, who is an awesome dermatologist (but, no, my skin isn’t perfect!), and he has provided me with so much more than a picket fence and a carriage, but he did get me a frilly apron for my birthday, and I’ve started baking our own bread! I absolutely love being a mother. This is definitely my dream job—super hard, but sooo worth it. I am a huge fan of my children, and I can’t get enough of my own babies!! The last thing I’ll tell you is that more often than not, I have a good book in my hands. I don’t read books; I devour them!! My favorite time to read? At the table during a quiet lunch…ooohhh, that’s heaven to me! Oh, and speaking of heaven, I am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. So grateful!
P.S. Here's a quick shout out to my mom, my dad, and my older brother, J.B. You are all so high up on my list of people whom I love and adore.

Rindi... you make your own bread now?? I will never be able to keep up! (what's new, right!!) I think it's funny about you reading at lunch. It is my favorite time to read too... I almost consider those few quiet minutes sacred!! Miss you so much and can't wait to read more about your life!

Rindi, It was fun to get your FB announcement about your 7 Sisters Blog. I have joined and look forward to following your fun family. What a great idea and way to blog. I have a blog too that is kind of in transition right now. "Being LDS On the East Coast" is what it will be changing to. I am trying to come up with a more catchy title though. I would love for you to follow to an make suggestions if you like. I hope things are going well for you and your cute family.
